What skills do your best owners possess?
First and foremost, no industry experience is needed.
Our owners are relationship builders. They enjoy community involvement, as well as creating partnerships and alliances with other business leaders and referral sources. They are coachable, reliable, communicative, and responsive. They have a desire to build a team so they can scale and work on their business, not in their business. Our best owners understand the importance of customer focus and desire a predictable, repeat revenue business.
What services beyond window cleaning are offered?
Beyond interior and exterior window cleaning, Sparkle Squad offers gutter cleaning, screen washing, soft house washing, and power washing of driveways and sidewalks.
How much money will I make?

What makes Sparkle Squad different from the competition?
Sparkle Squad’s centralization system is built to drive and fulfill demand. Sparkle Squad delivers cutting edge marketing to drive your demand, and uses an in-house sales center to sell and schedule appointments. Sparkle Squad also uses an online booking engine to streamline the sales process, allowing customers to self-serve and purchase on-line at any time. Our equipment technology is used to improve efficiency and safety with our techs. Sparkle Squad was built by window cleaners who know the industry deeply and have built thoughtful repeatable systems around this knowledge. Most other franchise systems in the space are created by franchisors who try to apply an existing system around the window cleaning industry. The latter option simply reproduces existing methods and foregoes innovation based on years of experience.
What type of equipment do I need?
Typically, the main things you’ll need are one or multiple Sparkle Squad Job Pods (depending on your business plan) and the Sparkle Squad tool kit which provides all that is needed for delivering each service. We’re very proud of our equipment and tools, which allow franchisees and staff to execute window cleaning, screen cleaning, gutter cleaning, house washing, and power washing programs with efficiency, economy and effectiveness. You’ll also need other equipment and materials; please contact us for more information.
What attracts employees to Sparkle Squad versus the competition?
Beyond having a great culture and providing an opportunity to make a meaningful income with our company, Sparkle Squad offers a safe and fun work environment.
We use cutting edge equipment designed to maximize efficiency and productivity (3 stage filtration system and ground based water fed pole cleaning system up to six stories), eliminating the need to climb ladders.
Because we have removed the barrier of “brute force” by applying technology, we are able to attract a wide range of employees that have a customer service mentality that can learn the craft. Sparkle Squad technicians are the future of the window cleaning industry.
Who is a typical Sparkle Squad customer?
We service two main markets.
The first is Residential clients. Everyone who has a home, has windows and very few enjoy cleaning them.
Previous to the Sparkle Squad system, the price to clean the windows on your home was higher than most were willing to pay for the service. The cost balance was off for the average homeowner. Now, with a technological advantage and a transparent, flat rate pricing model, we are able to service thousands of people who were simply priced out of the market previously. We get through the door with our competitive exterior window cleaning price then we wow clients with our amazing customer service and that’s what keeps our residential customers coming back year after year after year.
The second market is the Commercial sector.
If you look around your city, you will quickly realize that the world is made of Glass and in the commercial sector this glass is generally cleaned annually or bi annually to keep buildings and storefronts looking their best. At scale, Commercial window cleaning should equal roughly 50% of your revenue. These customers range from Property management companies, hospitals, Municipal Agencies to Colleges and Universities.
What is the role of an Sparkle Squad owner?
Ownership roles can change as the business grows. We recommend all owners start in the field to get a direct understanding of the work at hand. Past this, there are a few different models we plan for. Owner/operators for single units. Multi-unit owners who are out of the vehicle but are actively working on growing their business. And multi-unit operators who have hired general managers and salespeople to run their business. An owner/operator will manage a smaller team, and work in the day-to-day with them. The multi-unit operator will be working on growing their business through larger commercial sales and brand building in the area.
What is my initial investment?
Compared to many other franchise opportunities, Sparkle Squad offers a low-investment franchise opportunity. For a single territory, the total investment costs range from $152,842 to $175,717.
Sparkle Squad is a low-cost investment opportunity because it requires:
- No retail location to build out
- Limited equipment and infrastructure
- Limited products or consumables
- Limited initial staffing
What attracts your target franchise candidates to the Sparkle Squad model?
There are many reasons, but the common ones are:
- Cutting edge marketing to drive demand
- Cutting edge call center to quickly fulfill demand
- Cutting edge software and online booking engine for customer ease
- Fresh and safer approach to a mature industry not known for innovation
- Niche space- highly fragmented
- Lifestyle friendly
- Can be run semi-absent

- Multiple revenue streams
- High customer retention
- Lower investment
- Scalable with high margin
- Mobile business – home based
What is the advantage of the Sparkle Squad Job Pod?
Our JOB POD technology allows us to accomplish something that no one else in the industry can do: we can wash windows in half of the time of anyone else out in the market.
If you picture a standard home, there will be roughly 8 windows on the second story that will need cleaning. With traditional methods a window cleaner will need to set up their ladder, Climb the ladder, Wash the window by hand, climb down the ladder, move it to the next window and climb the ladder again to repeat the process. As you can imagine this process is very labor intensive, time consuming and ultimately unsafe.
For comparison’s sake that same process for Sparkle Squad looks like this. They unpack and setup the Job Pod, extend their water fed pole and begin work. They scrub and rinse the window with 0 parts per million pure water to insure there are no spots or streaks when the window dries then they simply walk to the next window and repeat the process until all the windows have been cleaned. By cutting out the need for ladders and “nose to glass” hand cleaning we have doubled the efficiency of our window cleaners while making a safer work environment for our technicians in the field. Both approaches ultimately end with the same result, a clean window, but as you can imagine, the Sparkle Squad System allows for far more daily output per technician.
